Ephesians 1

Theological Analysis

What we learn about God

We learn about God's sovereignty, love, and grace, demonstrated through His choice of believers and His provision of redemption through Christ. in love He predestined us to adoption as sons through Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, (Eph 1:5)

Christological Connection

Jesus is referenced as the one through whom we have redemption, forgiveness, and access to God's grace. He is the focal point of God's plan of salvation. In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our offenses, according to the riches of His grace, (Eph 1:7)
