What do we learn about God?
We learn about God's holiness and His rightful claim over life. God claims ownership over the firstborn, declaring, "for all the firstborn are mine" (Numbers 3:13), and He sovereignly chooses the Levites to serve Him in their place.
How is Christ Connected?
Jesus is foreshadowed as the ultimate firstborn Son who was consecrated to God and as our great High Priest. While the Levites were taken "instead of every firstborn" (Numbers 3:12) to serve, Jesus acts as the true and perfect mediator between God and humanity.
What Theology concept is taught?
