What we learn about God
Even while in great despair, Job is still turning to God for answers, questioning his actions, and asking for forgiveness. "If I sin, what do I do to you, you watcher of mankind? Why have you made me your mark? Why have I become a burden to you?" Job 7:20

While not a direct reference, Job's desire for a mediator, someone to stand between him and God, can be seen as a foreshadowing of Jesus's role as the ultimate Mediator. "There is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus." 1 Timothy 2:5
